One of the most difficult, and necessary, things to figure out in life is how important money is. For many of us, it can take most of our lives to sort that out. There doesn’t seem to be a “correct” answer, though there are many incorrect ones. We do know that money is necessary. Since we are not a hunter-gatherer society, we need money to pay for food, shelter, clothing, etc. And it is understandable that a person would want more than just the basics and need some security. But how much is enough? Is accumulating money a proper goal in life? If so, what behavior is and isn’t appropriate in that accumulation? What should be sacrificed? Is money a way to measure a person’s value? The only way? These are questions which a person must answer for him/herself.

The purpose of the government is the use of political direction and the control exercised over the actions of the members or inhabitants of the communities. Basically the entire state is under its rule but what’s to stop them from manipulating their political power. The government does provide good qualities like instituting government jobs, managing money and taxes accordingly especially with today’s economy and some others as well. That’s what going on in the surface but what’s really going on beneath the surface. Elliot Spitzer is a well known governor for New York City who’s held in office since March 10, 2008. It has been said that throughout his travels he organized a prostitution ring at every function he’s attending. If he was able to organize this prostitution what other politician has disgrace their services. Do politicians have the right to manipulate their power for their own personal use and what other secrecy that’s left uncovered can the American people bare it?

When I came home from school, one of my jobs was to kill a few chickens and cut fire wood. My life was easy I thought. I never knew just how hard they were having it, people would come over to visit, and in the summer we sat on the front porch and talked and laughed a lot. At night we could hear the frogs making their strange sounds, and when everyone went home, we could go to sleep by the sounds they were making. One thing that made night time so scary is we had no street lights, you could hear everything, but see nothing. You couldn’t even see your hand in front of your face. In the middle of the night at our house, the bath room was a place you did not want to go, it was on the back porch, so we would make an effort to take care of that before dark. The things we went thru back then, it was not hard to believe in God, and when the morning came you would forget just how afraid you really were. I thank GOD for those good days, for watching over all of us.
